History of the laboratory

The laboratory was founded in 2000 by Josef Kyncl after his departure from the Institute of Botany retired. In 2005 he joined the laboratory of Thomas Kyncl.

The basic focus of the laboratory

The laboratory focuses on the dating of wood from historic buildings and to a limited extent also on wood from archaeological excavations in the regions of Bohemia, Moravia, Slovakia and Transcarpathian Ukraine. For these areas also compiles dating standard chronology (fir, spruce, pine, oak, larch).

The laboratory equipment

Measuring devices Timetable program PAST 4. Data processing is used to program Arstan and package DPL.
